brian mcloughlin band (bmb) is comprised of Brian McLoughlin vocals/acoustic guitar, Joe Serin/guitar, Brian Trainor/drums & Don Kirchenbauer/bass. Formed in northeast Pennsylvania in March 2005 they have been building a loyal following over the past two years with their dynamic live shows and the release of their independent debut album blur. In April 2005, the bmb hit the studio (www.mudcut.com) and recorded blur, which was released in July 2005. The band produces alot of enthusiasm on stage and while it is difficult to duplicate the energy of a live show in a sterile studio environment the band proves nothing is impossible. They have no fear either when it comes to throwing various musical genres together on a single album. "Wrapped Up In Blue" catches the jam band psychedelic, "Northern Lights" delves into southern rock with dueling slide guitars, they take it further south to the islands creating that calypso island feel with "Soaking In The Sunshine" and "Hold On" an all acoustic track brings it back home to bluegrass. The album continues to receive strong radio airplay on NPR and college radio stations nationwide and has been hailed as one of the top 100 albums of 2005 by Upstage Radio & Magazine. In the short time that the brian mcloughlin band has been together they have appeared in such renowned venues as The Stanhope House, Sarah Street Grill, Krogh's, The Saint, The Whiskey Bar, John & Peter's & Harry's Grille. In 2006 they headlined at the "Big Bandingo", "Mayhem On The Mountain" & "Turkey Slam" festivals. In 2007 the performed at The Kindred Spirits Festival, Big Bandingo Festival, Summer Of Love Festival, Arcadia Festival, Great Dingbando Festival, Harvest Moon Festival & Evolve 2012. They've shared the stage with countless talented "on the verge" bands including Subcommittee, Big Boss Sausage, Dirt Road 14, The Natural Breakdown, B-Train Express, Straight Dope Cherry, Rabid Roy & Awry.
